Brief Review of Peropesis v1.8

Great minimalist distro, for sure, like a pre-packaged "Linux From Scratch."
Is there a plan for persistence or is that a major undertaking?
If there were persistence, I'd add Vim and be a very happy camper.
Thank you! Love it, and best wishes!

Currently Peropesis is a personal project and is created as a hobby for fun or for educational purposes. With this project, I wouldn't want to commit to anything and promise anything, except:
this project is non-commercial and should remain so;
this project must remain open as far as possible.
Probably it would be great if this project would evolve in some way and become attractive to both developers and users. The question is, how do we do this?
As I understand, you would like to be responsible for integrating the Vim text editor into the Peropesis live distribution and possibly further supporting it? Did I get it right?

Haha! Sure, I'd be willing to help out with that! ;) This distro is already perfect for someone (like me) who wants to learn how a core system works. The fact that it's System V makes it invaluable these days -- a real gem amongst the throngs of systemd blobs out there. (I have no interest in how those work and I doubt I ever will). Like I said, if I can get Vim installed I'll be happy and use it all the time.

I think we could try to cooperate for Vim. Because I have not contemplated forms of teamwork, please tell me how you think we can collaborate on the Vim integration task (you compile, test, send to me, I put it in the filesystem or another way?)? What information or help would you need to implement this task?

Hello! Well, you might have to answer a few "duh" questions for me, but I could run the compile and test and send it back to you, no problem. It looks like an easy install but I guess I might look for suggestions as to default settings when the time comes too. It would be my pleasure to help out if possible!
Linux From Scratch used to put out a minimal iso to meet the requirements of the current version of their book. (Every six months I think is their release cycle). Something like that is what I'd be really happy with. Peropesis could nicely fill that niche in the distro world.

1. You can ask questions that are relevant for you and if I can, I will answer them.
2. I just want to be sure, when you write: "I might look for suggestions as to default settings", you're talking about options and arguments for 'configure' script and for compilers?
3. You mean LFS LiveCD project, which is currently out of development?
